Patrícia Gabriel / 10 August 2023

We are thrilled to announce the shortlisting of the Nullifire’s brand and team members as the finalists for the prestigious Women in Fire Safety Awards 2023. This achievement recognises the outstanding achievements and contributions of women in the field of fire safety. These remarkable individuals and the team as whole have gone above and beyond, making a significant impact and inspiring others in the industry.

Joanna Strickland - Lifetime Achievement Award Finalist:

Joanna has been in the industry for over 24 years, she has held the role of Area Sales Manager throughout this time. During her career, she has seen the transition of the business Nullifire, into a brand of Tremco CPG UK Limited, but her dedication to the industry has remained unchanged. She specializes in Intumescent paint but also looks after fire stopping products, all in the Midlands area.

During her time in the industry Joanna has seen many changes, both in terms of regulatory approaches and also changes in culture. She is an exceptional individual who has remained committed the entire time to the industry and ensuring things are done correctly. One of the ways she has done this is through developing and nurturing the excellent relationships  with her customers over the years, who often go to Joanna for support.

Sara Phillips - International Woman of the Year Award Finalist:

Sara Phillips' international influence in fire safety is second to none. Living in Ireland, Sara has worked for Tremco CPG UK Limited for 22 years over multiple brands but Nullifire most recently. Under this brand Sara is responsible for supporting intumescent, fire stopping and installation enquiries. But in total, Sara has worked within the construction industry for approximately 30 years.

Outside of Tremco CPG Sara has also been involved in many organisations as an advocate for everybody. The organisations that she has promoted and been heavily involved with include:

  • Co-chair International Trans Fund
  • Board member at the National Women’s Council Ireland
  • Board member TGEU

… to name but a few

Over the years, working in a male dominated industry, Sara has experienced a lot of challenges and has always approached them with grace and dignity with the aim of supporting and educating people. She is a true credit !

Nullifire - Training Provider Award Finalist:

Nullifire's commitment to educating and empowering fire safety professionals has been unparalleled. Our training programs and dedication to advancing the knowledge and skills of individuals in the industry have truly set us apart as a leading training provider.

Being shortlisted for the Training Provider Award is a tremendous honour for Nullifire.
